Erin Simpson, Founder & Principal
Erin has more than ten years of public relations experience and most recently started and led the communications team at Lyft in San Francisco. After introducing the concept of ridesharing to the public as the first comms hire, Erin acted as primary company spokesperson and led messaging, strategy and media relations, building the team from one to six over the course of three years.
Previously, Erin held in-house communications positions at companies including Disney, Benefit Cosmetics, MGM/United Artists and JANUS et Cie, and developed her storytelling philosophy by combining her psychology education at UCLA and early PR experience working on independent film campaigns with her lifelong love of literature. Erin left Lyft to found Brick Lane in July 2015 and is based in San Francisco, CA.
Erin First, Principal
A creative and strategic communications professional with ten years of public relations experience, Erin most recently was at personal styling service Stitch Fix, where she was the first communications team member. At Stitch Fix, Erin was responsible for leading and executing the fast-growing retailer's communications strategy across business, tech, retail and consumer verticals.
Prior to Stitch Fix, Erin spent six years at PR agencies in San Francisco and Sacramento, CA, working with a variety of clients spanning tech-focused seed stage startups to large international consumer brands. A life-long lover of stories, Erin earned her B.A. in English from University of California, Santa Barbara and is based in San Francisco, CA.
